Mrs. Meyers' News
I am beginning my fifteenth year at Lewis Elementary and my 28th year of teaching in Cobb County. I earned my bachelor’s degree in early childhood & elementary education from MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN and my Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from KSU. I have spent most of my teaching career teaching first and second grades and am excited about my seventh year of teaching 3rd grade at Lewis.
I have been married for 34 years and have two children, a son and a daughter. My daughter and son-in-law made me a grandmother in March 2011, and again in January 2017! I now have two lovely granddaughters to spoil.
My hobbies are reading, scrap-booking, cross-stitching and playing on the computer. I love to walk/ hike through national parks and wooded trails.
I have lived in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee, ( not in that order) from birth to the present.
I look upon my students as my extended family and look forward to working with them and their parents to set goals, reach high, and encourage the love of learning.
